The Project
AECOM is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets, including the resource industries, transportation, facilities, environmental, energy, water and government.
CSBP Limited is a subsidiary of the Wesfarmers Group, one of Australia’s largest publicly listed companies. CSBP is a major manufacturer and supplier of chemicals and fertilisers to mining, industrial and agricultural sectors. The AN3 Expansion Project is the third phase of expansion of CSBP’s existing Ammonium Nitrate production facility, which involved a third train for production of liquid ammonium nitrate (NAAN3) and a brownfield expansion of the existing prill plant facilities (PP2).
AECOM was engaged as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) by CSBP and was responsible for managing all of the Works, including the construction contracts for the AN3 Expansion Project. The works consisted of one major EPC contract for NAAN3 and multiple construction contracts for the PP2/OSBL works.
IMS was contracted by AECOM in March 2012 to provide industrial relations support and advice,
which included
• An Early Works Contact
• Nitric Acid Plant Expansion
• An additional Ammonium Nitrate Plant (NAAN3)
• Upgrade of the existing Prilling Plant (PP2), and
• Additional Outside Battery Limits (OSBL) works
The Project involved more than 1.5 million man-hours of construction works.
IMS Service Provision
IMS was contracted by AECOM in March 2012 to provide industrial relations support and advice,
which included
• Development of the draft Employee Relations and Industrial Relations Management Plan (ERMP) for the CSBP AN3 Project for AECOM operating as the Project Management (PMC) inclusive of industrial relations strategy.
• Establishment and coordination of the Industrial Relations Management Committee.
• Ongoing Project Industrial Relations support and advice to AECOM as and when required.
